(Communication from your Secretary)

Date 11th September

here are a further two notices pinned on the men's changing room concerning the markers awareness course on Sunday 28th October 2018 and Sunday 7th April 2019 at Whiteknights. This is a course run by Keith Sawdon and is open to any one who is interested in marking in a game of bowls. It is very informative and the notice gives all the detail and what it involves on the day. If you are interested please speak to Keith directly.

The Election of Officers notice is on the board and there are still vacant positions. The notice will come down on 30th September so do please make your nominations known by putting them on the board.

County Competitions 2019
When you complete the form with the correct entry fee please put this in the secretary's box. I am beginning to collate the entries. Keep them coming...…

The county competitions entries for 2019 will be on display in the men's changing room. The price this year is £3.90 per person apart from the unbadged which is £2.50 and you will be eligible to play in a number of disciplines including:-

Tips for a successful entry
When filling out the form it is the skips responsibility to ensure the pairs, triples and fours are filled out with complete team members names and entry money. If the remaining team members also wish to enter the singles, then they must submit separate entries with appropriate entry money.

Every competitor must receive one RCBBA handbook which will be given free but to assist me do please tick the box and number needed to complete the entry form.

I look forward to receiving many entries for the above.

Many thanks

Paul Melhuish

After full discussions, the Committee have decided that the Bowling Club Men’s Section annual subscription would continue @ £70.00 (juniors £20.00), again this coming season.

The cost of match snacks/sandwiches will be £2.80. The charge made by some away clubs may be more; the captain will put the amount you will have to pay on the team sheet.

There will still be a £1.00 subscription fee to pay, when selected to play in Kennet League and KLV League matches, home and away.

Your Committee members will be available in the Club to collect subscriptions from 6:00pm until 8:00pm during weekday evenings on the dates as follows;

Subscriptions are to be paid BY ‘Opening Day’ which is SATURDAY 14th APRIL this year. Members, as per the attached list, are expected to attend at the club during these times to collect this season’s newsletters, fixture cards, club stickers, club shirts and County handbooks etc. Club Competition entry lists will also be available on the notice boards and these entries will cost £1.50 each.
It is expected that most of these invited members will pay their subscriptions during these times and it should be remembered that, in accordance with Club Rules, they would need to be paid by 14th APRIL in order to play in any matches or roll up on the green i.e.

To avoid removal from Competitions and to avoid termination of membership subscriptions should be paid by 15th May. If the above dates are inconvenient, then cheques (payable to BB & SC) can be left in the Secretary’s/Treasurer’s box at the rear of the dressing room in advance, although you may not be able to collect your documents until the Treasurer or Secretary are available.
